How To Remove Blogger Navbar?

By default, Google's blogger blog comes with navbar enabled which is located at the top of blogger template. You can choose different colors for navbar that suits your template design. If you browse most of the blogger powered blogs, you might notice the absence of navbar in their template. Either they must removed the navigation bar or using custom/third party templates.

If you are a beginner blogger who wants to remove/disable navbar from blogger themes, I will show you on how to do it. Before continuing, you might need to know the advantages and disadvantages of navbar and then decide whether removing navbar from your template is good or not.

Nabar has some useful links to explore on it. You could the options like blogger icon, search bar, more categories, next blog navigation, new post direction, design and Google account sign in/out prompts. 

  • Blogger icon             - It directs you to Blogger.com
  • Search bar                - It's a normal search feature to find content on current blog.
  • g+1                             - Clicking on this icon let's you share the post publicly.
  • More option             - It allows you to share the content via Email, Facebook and Twitter. It has one more option called report abuse which tells you to do so if the content on a blog is seems to be inappropriate. 
  • Next blog                  - As the name implies, you can click on it to surf other blogs randomly.
  • New post                   - It calls you to create a new post for your blog. If you are on other blog, this link will gets blotted out. 
  • Design/dashboard  - When you click on it, it takes you to edit your template. If you are on some one's blog, it will show as dashboard which drives you to your blogger splash board.
  • Sign in/out               - As you should know that it asks you to sign in to your Google account.
Though blogger navbar has so many plus points, but I won't say that it doesn't have a single disadvantage. I will tell you on why I hate navbar to be enabled on my blog and I'm sure I will never use it anymore.

  • Navbar looks clumsy and fumbling.
  • Even though different colors are available for navbar to choose but It doesn't fit for my blog's theme.
  • It increases visitor's bounce rate if they are tends to click Next blog link.
Here I have described the plus and minus points of navbar. So, are your decided to remove navbar? Then go ahead. 

How To Turn Off Blogger Navbar?

Step 1: Log in to Blogger.com and get in to your blog.

Step 2: Head on to Layout > and search for Navbar at the top right hand side of layout.

Navigate to Layout > Navbar

Step 3: Click on Edit inside area.

A new pop-up window will get open and you could see different colors to choose for navbar.

Step 4: Switch to Turn Off radio button.

Switch to Off button & Save it

Step 5:  Finally click on Save button.

View your blog. Congrats!! Now you have removed the navbar from your blogger template successfully.

How To Block Unwanted Emails From Someone Automatically in Gmail?

We love to browse Internet. Likewise we would like to subscribe or sign up for lots of email services which seems to be good. We might think that signing up to newsletter will deliver useful and selective data through mails. Of course it's a great option to stick to the services provided by the websites. If the inbox is filled with lots of mails from a single service, it will rise a red flag.

Soon after you would proceed to clean inbox mails. Whenever you log in again, if you see the mails from the same service, then you will surely get tensed and annoyed more. As long as the newsletter service has Unsubscribe option, it is easy to stop those junks within a second. But unfortunately some mails doesn't comes with a choice for the subscribers. 

Consider if someone (might be your girlfriend/boyfriend) is filling the inbox with loads of mails. If you like them, then you would love to receive plenty of mails. Suppose if you don't like them, you want to shut all the doors just to avoid them.

For personal mails, there won't be any unsubscription link as these mails will not be considered as newsletter or any other services. Deleting annoying mails often is an irritating job. So that, there should be an automatic response to delete mails directly without even seeing by the user.

In this tutorial, I will tell you on how to stop junk mails automatically in Gmail. Unlike other email clients, Gmail does not offer an option to block emails. Instead there is another option to filter such annoying mails. Basically many Gmail users were unaware of this feature. 

Create Filter To Stop Junk/Spam Emails 

  • Log in to Gmail account
  • Find out the annoying email address and note down it or copy it.
  • Click on Gear-shaped settings icon > Choose Settings.

  • Move on to Filters option 

  • Now click on Create a new filter and start to filter spam mails.

  • In the From field, paste the copied email address. If the junk mails has the words like contest, win prizes, new offer, discounts, and so on, you can opt to filter only the mails which has the above mentioned words. 

Other fields like Doesn't have, Has attachment, Don't include chats and Size are available for filtering emails more specifically. After you filled those areas, click on Create filter with this search

  • On the new dialogue box, click on Delete it check box.
  • As per You can also choose several options like Skip the inbox, Mark as read, Star it, Apply the lable, Forward it, etc.

After doing all the steps, you might notice that the filtered mails are not present in the inbox but accumulated in trash/bin. Either you can delete all trash mails or leave it for being automatically deleted in 30 days.

How To Use Google Maps For Offline on PC, Android, iOS and Other Smartphone Devices?

One of the Google's wonderful service is Google Maps which allows you to search any location around the world. By zooming into an area, you can get more elaborated view and usually it can be done with Google maps street view. It is very useful especially for the people who want to spot many important places like airport, railway station, petrol bunk, supermarket and the list goes on and on.

Either you are using PC or smartphone to get the geographical location of a place using map service, all that you need is a working net connection.

It's very simple to explore places via Google Maps if you are having Internet connection. But what if you are travelling in remote areas and not having network coverage? In such case, definitely you will be looking for help from someone. To avoid such lonely feeling, you should opt for preventive measure. 

So, here I'm indicating you to download Google maps for offline utilization at both PC and mobile phones. 

How To Download Google Maps For PC?

If you ever want to have access to offline maps, then you must go for GmapCatcher which is an offline maps viewer. Furthermore, it can display maps from various providers including CloudMade, OpenStreetMap, Yahoo Maps, Bing Maps, Nokia Maps and Skyvector.

  • Tap on Google Maps app and search for a location.
  • At the bottom, touch the name of the place you have searched.
  • Click on Save option or in the upper right corner, touch the triple dots menu and select Save offline map. Then follow the procedure on screen.

P.S: You need to zoom into a place for caching the Maps for offline use. Otherwise, it might show an error states that you cannot save.

After you have searched for a place, type the phrase as ok maps in the search bar and tap on search button on keyboard. Then follow the directions to save the location you want to use if for offline.

How To View Saved Maps Data When Offline?

  • Tap on menu > Your places.
  • Touch View all and manage.
  • Select the offline map which you have already saved.

Every location you are saving will expire in 30 days. In order to update the location for offline use, you need to connect to Internet again. 

Summing Up

Both GMapCatcher for PC and Google Maps for smartphones are quite handy and useful to view the cached map at high resolution while traveling even though the Internet connection is unavailable at that moment.
